|Ness Elementary School Home|
Ness Elementary School is one of four outstanding elementary schools in the West Valley School District. Teachers at Ness are excited to welcome students to a daily adventure of discovery and exploration. Our rigorous curriculum challenges students every day to pursue their interests with passion. Our committment as a staff is to encourage an on-going effort towards improvement in teaching and learning. Parents should feel welcome to visit with us anytime concerning suggestions and ideas for making Ness the very best school possible!
PTO Hat Day Fundraiser
For 50 cents each Friday students can wear their favorite hat. Each month the money raised will go to a charity in our community. January is Sally's House, February is Meals on Wheels, March is Millwood Crossing, April is Hutton House and May is Food Bank.

Inclement Weather Procedure
Another important change for West Valley is the creation of a new inclement weather procedure. Often when there is a heavy snowfall roads are not plowed early enough to be passable for busses creating the cancellation of school for the entire day. Typically, snow plows clear the roads by 8:00 a.m. so we are going to implement a two hour snow delay schedule allowing time for the streets to be plowed so busses can travel safely. The procedure for announcing a two hour snow delay will be the same as our current inclement weather announcement. For example, once it is determined that a snow day schedule will be implemented you will be notified through your building communication procedure and we will use School Messenger, television, radio, and the district website to alert families.
Thank you for all you do.
